Culture Talk with Adam Reynolds: “Metacognition: Learning How to Learn”
Watch the Replay here
About Adam: He is a passionate science teacher and lifelong learner and is deeply interested in how learning works. As a teacher and creator of educational resources, he picked up and deliberately sought out a lot of really helpful and practical knowledge and principles of learning that are not known to many people, even those involved in education. These principles are robust, well-established, and often surprising and go against a lot of “perceived wisdom” around how people learn best or think they learn best. He loves creating educational resources and is fascinated by how learning works, cognitive science, and positive psychology.
Currently Adam is split between roles in Learning Analytics and Educational Technology at two different organisations: Siyavula Education (an online mathematics and science practice platform) and Axium Education, an NGO based in the rural Eastern Cape near Zithulele Hospital where he lives with his wife and two-year-old on the homestead of a local Xhosa family.
